Voice Registry Podcast-Tracy Pattin Talks To Master Voice Coach, Marice Tobias

February 3rd, 2009 Posted in Audio Podcast

Marice Tobias talks to Tracy Pattin about her career and Voice Over Techniques

Marice Tobias is a master coach. Ms. Tobias is different from any other voice over coach in that she prefers working with only established, professional, voice over talent. In her early years of coaching she was known as the “Voice Shrink”…someone you would call if you hit a booking slump. Along the way, she has coached some of the top voice over talents, many who are earning the lion share of their money in trailers. Recently, Marice has been referred to as the “Voice Whisperer” due to her ability to “hear through” the surface of a read and pinpoint what might be keeping someone from playing full out.

Marice is an incredibly precious soul and I have been the recipient of one of her messages back when I first started studying with her in October of 2007. No surprise, it was spot on and much needed.

Thank you for doing this podcast, Tracy!

    Be well,
    Bob

Tracy, thanks for this Podcast– Marice is the real deal and it’s fun to hear more of her sharing!

From the first time studying with her, she has been such a blessing in really listening and clearly identifying what needs attention. I’ve truly enjoyed her insights and look forward to hearing your second Podcast.

    Best,
    Lyle

I am forever changed thanks to the workshops and private coaching with Marice.

I’ve been in workshops where she picks up on these things and all 12 people in the room gasp; stunned, knowing we are in the presence of a master.

She is truly the real deal. It’s something that must be experienced, there’s no explanation.

Working with Marice was a pivotal point in my career. You’ll never pick up a script and see it the same way again.

“Pinball Wizard” by The Who plays in my head as I write this. Become part of the copy. Feel all the bumpers. Study with Marice.

I drank the Marice Tobias kool Aid in a recent weekend intensive workshop here in LA. AMAZING, a truly gifted woman. The breakthroughs I witnessed in myslelf and the other (truly talented) participants were remarkable. I LOVE MT!

Tracy your voice not only is perfect, your tone of questions are honest and the ones we all want to ask. Plus you ask them with the sincerity that gives someone like Marice the desire to give a rich honest answer. Thank you Superstar.
