Star Vocal Power and Remembering Heath Ledger

January 29th, 2008 Posted in Actor, General Info

It was just a week ago that Heath Ledger died. In mrpierre’s blog today, “The Presence of Crowe” he talks about Ledger’s powerful voice and the vocal power of Hollywood actors but how American actors rarely work with the voice.  ”I think one of Heath’s greatest attributes was his voice- First time I saw him was in the Patriot. I remember how grounded his voice was. It gave him presence, a heaviness and weight on screen for such a young man.” The voice can leave an indelible mark even when we’re long gone. -Tracy Pattin
