Spring Cleaning and Voice Over Marketing
March 19th, 2008 Posted in General Info, MarketingThey say (who are they anyway?) that getting rid of clutter opens up new opportunities. Just like blog sites need to be constantly filled with new posts, voice over sites need to change as well. So I decided to unclutter my voice over website on VoiceRegistry. I needed to update and refresh!
Amber at Voicebank.net/VoiceRegistry walked me through the changes I needed to make. I had a “New!” spot from 2 years ago and a resume from 2003. I’m always sending producers to my site (and there are others who find me through a search) so they need to see that I’m still in the game. It’s funny, just making these changes, adding new spots to my site and updating my resume automatically makes me feel more successful!
One of the first blog posts I wrote was “Voice Over Success is when Opportunity Meets preparedness.” It’s almost Spring, so it’s time to clean, unclutter and get prepared for those new opportunities.

Hi Tracy:
Thanks for your post on spring cleaning and vo marketing. Getting rid of clutter does open up possibilities! Happens all the time. If we do one thing…whether it starts with cleaning up a web site, organizing the address book, or coming up with a new ad campaign; it puts us in control of our voiceover success by taking steps to get to where we want to go. I know lots of voice talent who say as soon as they tackle a new website design, or jump into a couple of acting classes, some new audition, or voiceover gig pops up.
Besides, I’m for any spring cleaning that does NOT involve vacuuming.
