Internet Radio. Opportunities for Voice Actors?

October 21st, 2008 Posted in General Info

In tomorrow’s podcast interview (Wednesday Oct.22nd) Geremy Dingle talks about how he created his internet radio show and how 911 was the reason he got into voice overs and how stand-up comedy rounds it all out.

When I asked him how he does it, he has this philosophy:

“The less you are specifically looking for something to happen, yet actively pursuing and putting an effort to the idea of what it is you want to happen, the more it seems to happen. You won’t know how, where, or when, it just somehow does.”

Good advice for voice acting. Just like the audition. When you try too hard, you usually don’t get the gig. You have to show up, do what you do really well and let it go.

Find out tomorrow what is internet radio and what are the opportunities online for voice actors including a site Geremy worked for that hires actors to narrate audio books.
