4 more tips for Voice Over Success a la Dominic Catrambone

1. Listen. (to yourself and the director) Whether you’re in the booth with headphones for an ISDN session with the director across the country, or in the car and a commercial comes on, listen.
2. Know what you can do with your voice. As Dominic says, “Having a great voice is good, but it’s really hard to get by in this business on just that. You have to know what to do with it.”
3. Study trends. Understand what’s currently working in the industry; The types of reads even inflections and tone.
4. Learn from the people at the top of their game. Find the successful voice talent and learn how they did it. Listen to Dominic Catrambone in the March 4th podcast (and the Feb. 26th podcast part 1) and find out how he does it.
